Daytrip to Shark Point, King Cruiser and Koh Doc Mai
Every Tuesday we go to Shark Point, King Cruiser and to Koh Doc Mai
Shark Point
One of Phukets most popular dive sites. The three pinnacles of the Shark Point are breaking the surface only on a small spot. The rest is submerged and covered in soft and hard corals.
Great dive site for drift dives.
You can frequently spot leopard sharks and bamboo sharks here, hence the name.
Max depth: 25m
Suitable for all certified divers.
King Cruiser
King Cruiser Wreck is located between Shark Point and Anemone Reef.
The ferry sank in May 1997. It is 80 metres long and 25 metres wide.
The deepest point is at 33 metres and the shallowest part of the wreck, is at about 14 metres.
The wreck is covered in diverse corals and many scorpion fish camouflage themselves as well as large shoals of fish seeking protection.
Max depth: 33m
Koh Doc Mai
This remote located limestone island lays between Phuket and Shark Point.
The name Koh Doc Mai means Flower Island and you will find lots of oyster clams, anemones and sea life like moray eels, sea horses, nudibranchs or ghost-pipe fishes at this wall dives.
A paradise for macro photographer.
There are also some small and easy to dive cavern to explore.
