Koh Bon and Koh Tachai
The Islands of Koh Bon and Koh Tachai form part of the beautiful Similan Islands National Park. Due to their isolated location, these islands offer excellent opportunities to see creatures that enjoy their privacy, such as Mantas and Whale sharks.
Koh Tachai is a series of submerged pinnacles and boulders, which form ideal opportunities for picturesque swim-throughs. Varieties of sea fans, feather stars and anemones fill the sea bed with life, while huge Napoleon Wrasse and Yellow Tail Barracudas are often spotted amidst schools of Bannerfish and Fusiliers to keep the water busy.
Koh Bon is a stunning dive spot, famous primarily for its visiting Whale Sharks and Manta Rays. It’s not just marine giants that pass through, however, with thousands of schooling fish, octopus and cuttlefish coming together in an explosion of undersea life. A myriad of corals, anemones and fascinating sea sponges make this exceptional dive spot a real treat for the eyes.
