The best and most relaxing way to experience great diving on Thailand’s premier dive sites is from a liveaboard boat.

Thailand has many dive sites which are too far away from hotels or resorts to access easily on day trips. Liveaboard diving allows you to stay onboard a vessel over several nights, taking you to these far away sites, presenting you so much more to explore over a few days.

You will enjoy up to 4 dives a day, with the convenience of being brought to the sites while you are relaxing in your floating accommodation.

With Sea Bees, you can choose from our carefully curated list of liveaboard trips starting in Phuket and cruising to the best places in Thailand, such as the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock.

6 days and 6 nights diving cruise with the MV Marco Polo

From Phuket, our flagship, the “MV Marco Polo”, takes off on a 6-day diving safari to the best dive sites in the Andaman Sea.

Your Liveaboard Tour starts on a Tuesday evening. Together with a maximum of 14 other guests, you will board the Marco Polo in Phuket where you will receive a briefing, check into your cabin and enjoy the first dinner on board.

Overnight, our captain will safely take you the 120 miles to the distant Similan Islands. In the morning you will wake up to the breath-taking scenery of the Similan Islands. Crystal clear waters, granite rocks and white sand beaches await you.

During the first couple of days, our diving takes place in the Similan National Park and later goes further north to Koh Bon and Koh Tachai, both great places for large fish.

The furthest point north from Phuket during the liveaboard cruise is Richelieu Rock. Our vessel spends an entire day at this isolated offshore dive site, so there is ample opportunity to admire the incredible marine life, macro biodiversity and, with a bit of luck, the chance to spot a whale shark.

Over the next days, the boat heads south again, with two dives held at the Similan National Park on the last day before the boat makes its way home. Towards late afternoon, this liveaboard cruise finishes up back in Phuket.

Live aboard diving from Phuket

The Marco Polo has been one of our most popular offers, with many divers returning year after year to experience this liveaboard. And we are proud to say that we even have some regular guests who have joined us over 20 times on this Thailand diving safari!

Although there are certainly some newer liveaboards in Thailand, our Marco Polo is a very cozy boat with real charm, very good price performance ratio and above all a really great team.

Here is what our guests have to say about the safari with the Marco Polo:

“We were on the Sea Bees liveaboard cruise near the Similan and Surin Islands in the Andaman Sea. To be short and concise: simply perfect.  Organization, friendliness, competence, food, from the office to the boat crew all were all great. Most of the time we had plenty of contact with the guides over the week. Anita, Nelson, Alex, all dive with passion.

You can tell that safety is the top priority for them. They are perfectly trained and bring their knowledge, enthusiasm and passion everywhere. We always felt comfortable and well cared for. We did not only experience the Mantas, but also the sharks. The fact that we did not see an election shark is certainly not the fault of the Sea Bees.

On the contrary, I’ve learned from the super guides that there are also many incredibly fascinating little creatures in the sea: Harlequin Shrimp, Psychedelic Snails and much more. When I had slight problems with my ears, Anita provided me well with medicines and their expertise. I took an SSI Advance course on board. Anita did not give me anything and had no mercy. This is exactly what I was happy about and what was right for me.

I can only recommend Sea Bees with all my heart and will definitely book again with them.

Best regards
